EXAM PATTERN OF SSC
Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting SSC CGL, 2021 exam in four stages:
Tier-1, Tier- 2, Tier-3 and Tier- 4 exam, while Tier-1 and Tier- 2 exam will be conducted online. Tier- 3 will be a pen and paper based exam and Tier- 4 will be a computer skill test. Let’s have a look at the exam pattern for all these stages of SSC CGL-2021 Recruitment process one by one.
Candidates must know that the score for SSC CGL Tier- 1 and Tier- 2 exam will be normalized if it is conducted in multiple shifts. The normalization score will be decided by SSC and it will be considered fine for selecting candidates for the further rounds (Tier-3 and Tier- 4) of SSC CGL- 2021 exam.
SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Pattern
SSC CGL Tier-1 exam will be conducted online comprising 4 sections with about a 100 questions in total and with maximum marks of 200.
The online exam is needed to complete in a time span of 60 minutes.

Penalty of Wrong Answer
There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. There is no sectional cut off No point be deducted if the question is left blank or an attempt by a candidate.
SSC, CGL Tier-2 Exam Pattern
SSC, CGL Tier-2 Exam will be conducted online consisting of 4 papers with about a 100 question in SSC, CGL Tier-2 Exam, Statistics, General Studies (Finance and Economics) & 200 question in English Language and comprehension papers and with maximum marks of 200.

Penalty of wrong Answer
There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in paper-II (English Language and comprehension) and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in paper-I, Paper-III and paper-IV.
SSC, CGL Tier-III Exam Pattern
Tier-III SSC, CGL will be a dissipative last. The paper will be in English/Hindi and will constitute 100 marks. The entire paper needs to be completed in 60 minutes.
SSC, CGL Tier-4 Exam Pattern
SSC, CGL Tier-4 exam in a Computer Skill Test. It will be conducted in two steps: DEST Test & CPT Test.
DEST – Candidates are required to type 200 Goods in 1st mimes on a computer in English. This Test is conducted to check a candidate’s writing skill.
CPT- This test is conducted to check a candidate’s proficiency in word Processed, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides.
