The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection also known as IBPS, is a recruitment body that provides standardized systems for assessment and result processing services to organizations in India mostly public sector banks (except SBI)with an aim to encourage the recruitment and placement. It also provides standardized systems for assessment and result processing services to organizations beyond Public sector banks, such as few co-operative Banks, LIC & insurance companies.
Earlier, candidates had to write multiple exams conducted by each bank for their vacancies. But from 2012, the Recruitment process has been changed. Now IBPS conducts five exams every year for banking sector recruitment. There are two exams for probationary officers, two for clerical levels and one for specialist officers (agricultural, law, technical). IBPS currently functions as an autonomous body that is mainly engaged in conducting competitive exams for recruitment to clerical and officers’ posts in the banking sector.
After getting recruited the final salary of IBPS PO officer including HRA, DA, etc. may go up to Rs. 38,360 – 40,700/- initially. Salary is periodically assessed and increase

To fill the application form of IBPS PO Recruitment 2018, candidates must have passed a graduation OR have an equivalent degree of Graduation (in any discipline) from the recognized University of the Indian government. Apart from this, any equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government.

All the candidates, who are eligible and want to apply for IBPS PO Exam 2018, their age should not be less than 20 years and not more than 30 years. Candidates born between 2nd Aug 1988 to 1st Aug 1998 (inclusive both dates) may apply for the recruitment.

IBPS PO 2018 Exam Pattern
Prelims exam is the 1st stage for candidates, which is conducted online. The IBPS PO Prelims exam consists three sections – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The total 100 questions will be asked in the exam and each question will carry 1 mark. The 1/4 mark will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer. The examination authority will allow 1 hour to solve 100 questions.

Mains exam is the 2nd stage for candidates, which will be conducted online. The IBPS PO Mains exam consists five sections – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. Total 200 questions will be asked in the exam and each question will carry 1 mark. The 1/4 mark will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer. The examination authority will allow 140 Minutes to solve 200 questions.

IBPS PO 2018 Selection Process
The IBPS PO 2018 Selection Procedure is based on the Three Phases examination. First of all, candidates will have to clear in IBPS PO prelims examination. Only those candidates will be shortlisted for Mains examination who will clear Prelims exam with minimum qualifying scores. After Prelims, candidates will have to clear IBPS PO Mains examination otherwise, they will not be selected for Final Interview Round.
Online Preliminary Examination: Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks (sectional as well as overall) to be decided by IBPS. Candidate’s adequate number in each category will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination (depends on the requirements).
Online Mains Examination: Candidates qualifying the cutoff (sectional as well as overall) will be called for interview.
Interview: IBPS PO Interview will be scheduled via Participating Organizations as well as coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. The final selection list of the candidates will be released after the successful completion of an interview round.
