AILET NOTIFICATION
The AILET stands for All India Law Entrance Test. It is a law entrance examination that is organised in an all India level. Usually, this national test is observed by the National Law University, Delhi. For your information, there are other national Law Universities throughout the country but AILET is only applicable for the Delhi based National Law University. This is one of the major differences between AILET and CLAT as the latter is observed by the all the NLUs and the some other universities as well.
AILET is also an ANNUALLY taken entrance examination. If you get to qualify this examination, then you might get admission in various law courses like LLB, LLM along with doctorate programs or education.
AILET Important Dates 2024
In the 2024, the official notification for the examination has been issued in the main website.
You must check the website frequently for regular updates or changes in information.
The registration processes for this examination has been temporarily suspended. However, the good news is that it would resume from 2024.
The examination would take place right after a month of the restart of registration.
So, officially, AILET 2024 is scheduled.
AILET Eligibility Criteria 2024
Eligibility criteria are quite usual for AILET 2024 and they are quite the similar to the other law entrance examinations.
There are various different courses, based on which the eligibility may alter a little bit. Let’s look at a few of them
- For a PhD Courses
The candidate must hold a post graduation or a master’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks. In case candidates belong from the minority groups, then they can still apply with a master’s degree, where they have been able to secure 50% marks.
- For an LLM Course
It is a master’s level course.
First thing is first. For an LLM course, you need to either finish an LLB course with 55% marks (50% again fir the minority groups) or you can still apply if you’re continuing an LLB course.
- For an LLB Course
LLB course is the graduation level course.
You must qualify your 12th examination with 50% marks and 55% marks in aggregate. However, if you’re pursuing your 12th examination, you may still be able to apply for the course.
AILET Rules to Apply 2024
Here is where you need to be careful. Even professionals from AILET coaching 2024 say the same thing because this process is periodic and lengthy. So, you need to be prepared and patient to comply to the information you find in each step.
At first, you need to visit the official website of AILET and find the ‘Apply Online’ section. There, you would be offered an application form, which you need to fill in carefully using only the correct and verified information. When you will be done with the application form, then you will be directed to another page where you might observe an ‘Apply’ option, in which you need to search for ‘Apply Now’ option.
Now, most of the part of detailing is over. You have to upload your images as per the guidelines of the website. The process, hence, comes to an end with the last step of paying the application fee. You may use both the credit and the debit card. You can also take the help of Internet Banking or Net Banking to pay the amount online.
AILET Admit Card 2024
It is fairly easy to get the AILET admit card.
However, the admit card can be gotten from the website of the NLU, Delhi.
Once the admit cards are issued, you would get to find an admit card banner in the website of NLU, Delhi. There you may need to put your name along with your date of birth to keep get the soft copy of the admit card. First, you save the soft copy of the admit card in your device and then you have to make a printout of it.
On the scheduled examination date, you are to carry the admit card along with an ID proof.
AILET Exam Pattern 2024
The examination is going to be conducted in the traditional way meaning in the offline mode, where candidates need to travel to a different location where the exam centre has been assigned by the NLU, Delhi. In this 1 hour and 30 minutes long test, candidates need to answer 150 MCQ questions bearing 1 mark each. But, 0.25 marks are going to be deducted for wrong answers.
The PhD course entrance is a little bit different than the main Undergraduate and the Post graduate examinations discussed above.
In the PhD entrance examinations, you would get two distinct sections. The initial level would target testing your skills on research methodology and legal aptitude.
AILET Results 2024
Results are going to be declared in the official website of the NLU Delhi in these dates:
BA LLB will be declared in the month of May 2024.
LLM will be declared in the month of July, 2024.
The PhD results will be declared in the 3rd of July, 2024.
Results are going to be available in the PDF format.
One more thing! After the results are declared, you will have to go though academic counselling as it is a mandatory process observed by the NLU, Delhi before admission.
