Canara Bank along with Manipal Global Education Services and NTTE education international have announced the PO recruitment 2018.Candidates selected through this canara bank PO recruitment 2018 will be trained in skills required for working in a bank, on completion of which they would be appointed in Canara Bank as Officers.
The is very similar to ICICI bank PO recruitment programme & Baroda Manipal PO recruitment but there is a difference:
To apply for this Canara bank PO recruitment 2018, IBPS scores are NOT needed.
Therefore all candidates including those who could not qualify in earlier IBPS bank exams are also eligible to apply.

Written exam to be conducted on March 4, 2018

Probationary Officer (scale I): 450 seats [GEN – 227, OBC – 121, SC – 67, ST – 35]

Who are Eligible:
If you are looking to apply for this canara bank manipal PO recruitment 2018, the following eligibility conditions must be fulfilled,
– Age to be within 20 – 30 yrs (+3 yrs for obc & +5 yrs for sc/st), as on Jan 1, 2018
– Should have completed degree with 60% (55% for SC/ ST) from a recognized university, as on 1.1.2018
– Final year/semester students are not eligible to apply (results must have been declared on or before 01.01.2018)
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of Online test, Group discussion and Interview.All eligible applicants must appear for a written exam to be held on March 4, 2018, for 2 hours at various centres across India.
There will be cutoffs for each test & also on the total score.Therefore candidates must obtain minimum marks to qualify in written test & proceed to Personal Interview.
Become PO in Canara Bank:
Candidates selected in this manner will undergo 9 month classroom training at Manipal global, Bangalore campus or NTTE education, Mangaluru campus followed by a 3 month internship at canara bank branches.
| On completion of 12 months training, the trainees shall be awarded Post graduate diploma in banking & finance along with their appointment letter to work as PO in Canara bank.The total salary be approx. Rs.27,000 – 32,000 / month depending on the posting location. |
The cost of undergoing this course shall be Rs.3.50 lacs (NTTE education) or Rs.4.13 lakhs (Manipal global), which can be paid as lumpsum or by availaing educational loan from the bank.
Service bond: All candidates chosen for appointment as PO in the bank must execute an agreement / security Bond to serve the bank for a minimum period of 5 years from the date of joining.
He/ she is liable to pay an amount of Rs. 1 lakh + taxes, incase of quitting from service.
