Phase-2: Interview/ Group Discussion:*Qualifying in nature and marks thereon will not be reckoned for arriving at the Merit. Test will be held on-line. If number of applications is less, Bank reserves the right to consider selection of the candidate(s) through shortlisting and interview, instead of test & interview. Except Professional Knowledge (PK) paper, other papers will be of qualifying in nature. Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in these papers. The minimum qualifying marks will be as decided or may be waived at the discretion of Bank. The questions will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English. The candidates will have option to answer the questions in Hindi or English (except for test of English Language).

Adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interview/Group Discussion. Group Discussion will carry 20 marks and Interview 30 marks. In case Group Discussion is not held, Interview will carry 50 marks. The qualifying marks in Interview/ Group Discussion will be as decided by the Bank. Conduct of Group Discussion may be waived at the discretion of Bank.

SBI SO SELECTION PROCESS

The selection for SBI SO will be made post wise. Given below is the general selection process which SBI conducts to recruit Specialist officer. The selection will be based on shortlisting & interviews. Mere fulfilling minimum qualification and experience will not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview. The selection process of the SBI SO includes the following 3 steps:

Candidates who clear the online examination are allowed to proceed to the next level of the SBI SO examination.

Step 1: Shortlisting

The Shortlisting Committee constituted by the Bank will decide the shortlisting parameters and thereafter, an adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted and called for interview.

Step 2: Interview

Those candidates who applied for both regular and contractual posts and who have cleared the online examination are eligible to appear for the Interview.

Step 3: Merit List

Merit list for final selection will be prepared in descending order of scores obtained in interview only. In case more than one candidate score common cut-off marks, such candidates will be ranked in the merit in descending order of their age

  1. The process of Registration is complete only when the fee is paid online.
  2.  Before applying, candidates are requested to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for the post as on the mentioned respective cut-off dates.
  3.  Candidates are required to upload all required documents ( brief resume, ID proof, age proof, educational qualification, experience, etc.) failing which their candidature will not be considered for shortlisting/ interview.
  4. All the candidates who are interested to work as a Specialist Officer must read the official Notification carefully before they apply.
