Introduction

SSC-CGL is one of the many favored government services of the youth. The best part of this examination is that it does not require the candidate to pass in all the sections. This means that if the candidate does not score well in a specific subject but is able to score the cut off marks in total, then he would qualify in that particular tier. It is a computer-based online test of 200 marks and the time allotted is 60 minutes. There is a negative marking 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer in Tier I, Tier III and Tier IV. And in Tier II there is a negative marking of 0.25 Marks.

SSC CGL TIER-III SYLLABUS

Tier-III of SSC CGL 2019-20 is an offline descriptive exam to test the skills of Candidates. This exams is based on English/Hindi. This test includes Easy Writing, Formal and Informal Letter writing. The exams duration is 60 Minutes and carries 100 Marks. For PWD Candidates total duration is 80 Minutes.

SSC CGL TIER-IV SYLLABUS

Tier-IV examination required couple of skill sets tests for certain Government Posts all over the country.

DEST ( Data Entry Speed Test ) : For the post of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax),DEST Exam through SSC CGL 2019-20 exam is conducted to check the typing speed of the candidate. The candidates are given an article in English which they have to type on Computer. A candidate is required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes.

CPT ( Computer Proficiency Test ): There are three modules that are important for this exam: Word Processing, Spread Sheets and Generation of slides and the commission demands a candidate to be proficient in it for the post of CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Examiner).

Tier-I & Tier-II exam is compulsory for all posts mentioned in the SSC CGL 2019-20 Notification of while Tier-IV exam is taken by candidates applying specifically for TA, CSS, MEA and Inspector.

This is an online based examination consisting of 4 papers as mentioned in the table above. Each paper is of 2 hours. Out of these 4 papers, only two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all the students. Paper III is only for Statistical Investigator Group II & Compiler Post while Paper 4 is for Asst. Audit Officer Gazetted Group “B” Post only.

APPLICATION FEES

The category wise application fees for SSC CGL exam is given below. Fee/Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. The application fee must be paid online itself. ADMIT CARD & OTHER INFO

Before the commencement of SSC CGL 2019 Exam, SSC will be releasing SSC CGL Admit Card for Tier-I exam. Candidates will be able to download SSC CGL Call Letter from the official Website of SSC once the Admit Card has been released by Staff Selection Commission of India.

RESULT

After the Completion of exams the Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) will announce the result through official website of SSC.
