As per the notification, the starting basic pay of a Probationary Officer (PO) is Rs 41,960/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. The total compensation per annum on CTC basis be a minimum of 8.20 lacs and maximum of 13.08 lacs depending on place of posting and other factors.
The candidate must fulfill the following two criteria to be eligible for the SBI PO 201 Exam:
• Age Limit (As on 01.04.2023): The candidate must be 21 Years to 30 Years as on 01.04.2021 i.e. candidates must have been born between 02.04.1991 and 01.04.2000 (both dates inclusive)
• Educational Qualification (as on 31.12.2023): The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.07.2021. Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2023. Candidates with Chartered Accountant certification may also apply.
SBI PO Selection Procedure: Important Points
The candidates should keep in mind the following points related to the SBI PO selection process:
• Biometric Verification: To ensure an error-free and secure selection procedure for SBI PO 2021, the bank may digitally capture the thumb impression of the candidate. This is done to verify the genuineness of the candidates. Any inconsistency in the biometric verification will lead to rejection of the candidature and punitive legal actions. Candidates are thus advised not to apply any kind of external matter like ink, mehandi, chemical etc. on their hands.
• Number of Attempts: The maximum number of chances are fixed for each category. Candidates who have used up all the chances are not eligible to apply. Appearing in Preliminary Exam is not counted as an attempt but appearing in Mains Exam is counted.

The SBI PO selection process consists of 3 stages. The written examinations are conducted online, followed by an interview round. The structure of exams is as follows:
This is an online examination where the candidates must solve the question paper in one 1 hour for 100 marks. The test consists of 3 sections. Candidates must know that the sectional cut-off in the Preliminary Exam has been removed and the overall score of all the sections will be considered for selection to the next round.. The cut-off or minimum passing marks for each section is decided by the Bank each year depending on the difficult of the test. The section-wise division of the marks is given below:

SBI PO Syllabus details:
SBI PO Syllabus is of Three Phases 1. Preliminary Examination 2. Main Examination and 3. Group Exercises & Interview.
I. Preliminary Examination: This Exam is consisting of 3 Sections as follows…
1. English Language
2. Quantitative Aptitude
3. Reasoning Ability
II. Main Examination: This is consisting of 2 papers as
a. Objective paper: This paper consists of 4 sections such as
1. Test of Reasoning & Computer Aptitude.
2. Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation.
3. Test of General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness.
4. Test of English Language.
b. Descriptive Paper: This paper is consisting of Letter Writing and Essay.
As per our expectation, The SBI will hold pre-exam training from May (Last week) and should release its admit card May (first week). One can download from the official website of SBI.
There will be a pre-exam training at various test centers across the country which will be held from last week of May.
Who can attend Pre-examination training and how?
Pre-examination training is arranged by the present and ex-officials of SBI for a limited number of aspirants who belong to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Minority Communities at select centers. Expenses such as traveling, boarding, lodging, etc have to be borne by the aspirants who are attending this training.

Candidates must download the SBI PO 2024 admit card from the official website of the bank as the hard copy of the SBI PO Admit Card will not be sent to the candidate via post. To login on to the official website, the candidates will require the following:

The admit card or call letter for SBI PO 2024 will be issued in 3 phases:
• Online Preliminary Examination
• Online Mains Examination

All results pertaining to SBI PO 2024 will be made available on the official website of the State bank of India, the governing body for the SBI PO exam.
The SBI PO Result 2021 will be released after each phase of the exam has been completed. SBI PO Prelims Result decides the candidates’ eligibility for the SBI PO Mains exam. A cumulative score of the mains exam and the interview process is considered to prepare the final merit list of selected students. The merit list is prepared in descending order of marks obtained by candidates. Candidates who make it to the merit list will be given the appointment letter by the Bank of Candidate’s choice.

SBI PO Selection Process consists of Three Phases – Phase I, Phase II & Phase III.
Phase I: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows…

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main Examination.
Phase II: Main Examination (Total 250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests (200 marks) and Descriptive Test (50 marks).
(i) The Objective Tests with 3 hour duration will consists of 4 Sections

(ii). The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be of “Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay)”.
Note: Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.
Phase III: Group Exercises (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Exercises and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Exercises & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
Final Selection: The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE& Interview (Phase-III) for preparation of the final merit list. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Exercises &Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category. Results of the candidates who have qualified for Group Exercises & Interview and the list of candidates finally selected will be made available on the Bank’s website. Final select list will be published in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar and also in Bank’s website.
